Bespoke Bookbinding Commission

The Lost Gardens of Heligan Guestbook

Lost garden of Heligan is a the world-renowned restored gardens in Cornwall, UK.

They got in contact to commission an extra special guestbook - something very personal to the gardens and a truly unique piece. I’ve bound together; original pages from Reader’s Digest Encyclopaedia of Plants & Flowers, plain paper which has been hand stamped, vintage maps of cornwall, and pages from Tim Smitt’s book about Heligan.

Heligan was over the moon with what I created and I’m very proud of myself! It’s the biggest commission I’ve had to date (literally, the book is huge in real life!) and I’m very much looking forward to seeing it again when I pop down in July.

I’ve already had some lovely comments on my Facebook page

“It looks beautiful! What a gorgeous idea and what a talented artist. Me and Mr Chesterfield will be honoured to sign as the first bride & groom at Heligan. Let me know when- id better get practising my new signature!”

“Utterly amazing Florence!! You are so talented and have been a total joy to work with!
