The Simple Things Magazine Books
If you like my page on Facebook, or picked up a copy, you will have seen I was featured in the Simple Things magazine this month! I’m so happy about this, I adore this magazine and love the design and content of it. This is why I sent the editor a book earlier this year, thinking that their readers would be people who might appreciate my books.
I was at Victoria Baths on Sunday too after a manic three days moving and driving and sorting the house, which was great. I received so much great feedback from people, and from one woman who had purchased two commissions last year and said how much her nieces loved them! This is the reason I love craft fairs so much, it gives me an opportunity to meet my customers and for them to handle the books before they buy them.
Because of the feature, and it being nearing Christmas time, my stock levels are pretty low. As all my books are one offs and take a lot of time to make, I haven’t been able to restock as quickly as they’ve sold! I have a few more coming up this week which I’ll be posting about on my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, so if you like something don’t hang about! I do also accept commissions so if you love the idea but there’s nothing listed that suits you, send me an email and I can find something that does. The turn around on commissions is no longer than 2 weeks so there’s plenty of time to order before Christmas. I have a Jane Austen commission going off to Canada next week, and two Shakespeare books to Dublin!
Just as a reminder I now offer personalized embossing on the covers too, giving it an extra personal touch. This is an extra £5 each for two letters.
It’s shaping up to be a brilliant last couple of months of the year, and hopefully 2015 will be even better. Thank you to everyone for your support and orders!
